Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America wins award in National Health Information Awards Program

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America: Celebrating 65 years of the art of lifePresbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s 65th anniversary video, “Celebrating the Art of Life” received a Gold Award from the National Health Information Awards Program. A television ad showcasing care options and the 2015 Art is Ageless® calendar also received Merit Awards.

PMMA has been celebrating 65 years of the art of living on its 18 campuses as the organization observed its 65th anniversary. The video, “Celebrating the Art of Life” focused on how life at PMMA, whether a resident or a staff member, really is a celebration of the art of life.

The television ad featuring care options was created from footage used to develop the 65th anniversary video. The Art is Ageless Calendar features artwork done by seniors ages 65 and older throughout Kansas and Missouri and entered into competitions at the 18 PMMA campuses. Local winners are then judged at the masterpiece level, and winners are used to create the annual calendar.

The awards program is coordinated by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials.

PMMA began in Newton, Kan., 1949 and now has 18 senior living communities in Kansas and Missouri. It offers independent and assisted living, long-term care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, respite care and adult day services.
