Art classes bring joy to residents

“It’s wonderful to see their smiles. It’s something they thought they couldn’t do, but they’re finding out they can. It brings them great joy and they look forward to it. One resident, who had a stroke awhile back, said it’s so relaxing to her,” said Activity Director Dawn Langvardt.

Dawn is referring to the new twice-a-month art class being offered at Clay Center Presbyterian Manor. Taught by a community volunteer and funded by a memorial from a former Art is Ageless® participant, it’s a great activity for the 10 residents involved.

“We’re hopeful they’ll want to get involved in the Art is Ageless program as well,” Dawn said.
