Help us celebrate Aberdeen Village’s outstanding artists

The annual Art is Ageless exhibit at Aberdeen Village in Olathe, Kansas, began again this spring — and we’re fortunate to have so many talented artists in so many categories.

The amateur drawing category has always been among our strongest areas, and this year was no different. We had 13 entries in that category. Our next strongest showing was “Christmas” with six entries, followed by mixed media/crafts, with three entries. We also had two entries in needlework, and a duo of entries in professional drawing. Sculpture/3D, painting, photography, and quilting each drew a single entry.

We held the exhibit throughout the month of April, and we hope that everyone had a chance to go see all the wonderful artwork. Announcement of the judges’ determination for the Art is Ageless competition will be held in conjunction with a reception on May 3.

Stay tuned for the exciting announcements of our winners. Everyone has worked so hard and created incredibly beautiful pieces. There are such unique items on display, and it’s really fun to see the fruit of our hardworking artists’ labors.

You can view the exhibit online.
