“We are honored to exhibit artwork by seniors,” said Morgan Burton, executive director. “Art is Ageless is unique in featuring only the works of artists age 65 and older. Our artists prove that art, in any form, is an ageless ambition. We look forward to having an exhibit that can be enjoyed in person by the entire Clay Center community next year.”
Winners in the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor Art is Ageless juried competition were:
- Best of Show amateur: Verna Lee Musselman, “Log Cabin Flower Garden”
- People’s Choice amateur: Verna Lee Musselman, “Log Cabin Flower Garden”
- Needlework amateur: Janet Rice, “Scaredy Cats”
- Painting amateur: Donna Long, “Dream of the Ocean”
- Quilting amateur: Verna Lee Musselman, “Log Cabin Flower Garden”
“Thank you for sharing your talent and beautiful pieces with Clay Center Presbyterian Manor. Our residents and staff enjoyed looking at the art that was brought in for our annual Art is Ageless competition and show. They also love voting for the “People’s Choice” award,” said Morgan.
Local competition winners will join winners from 14 other Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America communities to be judged at the masterpiece level. Winning entries at the masterpiece level are selected for publication in PMMA’s annual Art is Ageless calendar and note cards.
