Fort Scott resident Gene Payne is the first to tell you he’s not an artist, and he would hesitate to even call what he does “art.” But he’d also tell you that’s not the point.
“All you need is a curious mind.”
Gene has embraced his desire to create whatever comes to mind, and he’d like others to consider doing the same. He says he doesn’t own a rocking chair or a recliner, and if you stop moving you collect “rust and dust.”
The results of Gene’s curious mind were displayed in the Presbyterian Village lobby during the month of September. For more information, contact Becky Kellum at 620-223-5550 or rkellum@pmma.org.
