Phyllis Provost-Saas of Wichita, Kan. was inspired to paint “Not Alone” from a personal experience. “One night my husband and I arrived home late to discover a shivering, young homeless woman curled up beside our garage. Thankfully, we were able to care for her and get her safely back to her family. The image of her lying there burned in me and I needed to share her story through my art.”
