Marilou Cavin of Lawrence, Kan. was inspired to quilt “Iris Garden” in the style of Georgia O’Keefe. “I took a photo of an iris from my garden and enlarged it. Using hand-dyed and commercial fabric, the purple iris was appliqued down. Afterwards, I did some embroidery and beading to enhance the flower,” she shared.
